Batam Camp (15-17 Nov)
Hai Sing Catholic School
We went to an almost 5-star resort called Harry's Resort to conduct the camp. Unfortunately for the students, they had to pitch their starry accomodation (night skies with gazillion stars, that is) instead at a beach facing Harry's.

The mass produced pop-up tents looked really easy to rig up but well, the instructors concluded that the Y-generation kids are just too pampered and that hampered most of their progress of a very straight forward task.
A tent was even missing a structural pole - a long story which the students had to take responsibility for for not having checked their camp equipment thoroughly. 
This calls for spontaneous improvisation from the unfortunate group. 
I'm not sure if they had christianed their makeshift shelter "The Cosy" as a mock response to Harry's. 
Presenting the "summer palace" shelter at the far end of the picture which is structurally more sound than the student tents...
...and the resort rooms which the campers were only granted access near midnight after having made to pitch tents to teach them lessons on teamwork. It was pure relief for them to be able to sleep on proper beds in the end!

Batam Camp (15-17 Nov)

On the ferry to Batam, my group, Thunderstorm, decided to prepare the gifts for the Community Involvement Programme (CIP) segment of the camp.
That's Yu Cheng mimicking Sherene who is making a carrier using the wrapping paper the group had bought from White Sands. Ting Han, in the background, is meditating over his creation.
By sheer chance (I'd checked with him!), the flap of the packaging closes to form a nice complete image of the bear with the lower half. I had taught Jude to make the packaging just minutes earlier. How amazing is that?!

Just got back from a weekend camp I had helped out with in Batam.
