An Indian woman used a makeshift raft to move through Pingla village in East Midnapore district after heavy rain. Over 50,000 people were rescued from floodwater in the region 155 miles east of Calcutta, and another 40,000 were moved to safer areas.

Flooding in China continued where a man carried two children along a washed-out street in Wuzhou, in Guangxi Province. The rain and floods, concentrated in Guangdong Province, and neighboring Guangxi, have killed at least 171 people and left 52 missing.
