The stuff they wrote about Heath Ledger being the darkest villian ever is all true. Behind all that makeup, his insidious streak is haunting. I also agree with the Oscar talks for the decased and very talented actor.
Regarding its PG rating? My friend asked me if a 5-year-old should be brought to watch the movie. NO. I would not even recommend it to a teenager. The movie should be rated M18 for its fatalistic themes.
For my younger readers who may want to take their chances - there is a lot of conversation in the movie - intense dark chatter which should the movie-goer be unable to follow, he will miss out on the much of its production value.
But that's what I like about the movie - its honest portrayal of the dark condition of humanity. Think Ren Chi monk scandal. The double-face lacking integrity colleague. Think deceit and distrust being the only means of communication and staying true to oneself only makes one a loser. Think reality.
